Every year we want to honor and celebrate our graduating Seniors at Oak Leaf Church. They work very hard throughout their high school careers to get to this wonderful moment in their lives and we, as a church, want to congratulate them on a job well-done. This year we are celebrating with the families of Ethan Lara and Katelyn Quinones.
Ethan is the son of Johnny and Niki Lara and will be graduating from Excel Christian Academy in Cartersville. He is graduating with honors, and also being recognized for community service, National Beta Club Society, performing arts, National Spanish Honors Society, the Etowah Foundation for Academic Excellence, and an AJC cup winner. Ethan will be attending The University of Tennessee, and majoring in materials science & engineering. Ethan has served at Oak Leaf for many years with production. We are thankful for his service.
Katelyn is the daughter of Yamil and Sylvia Quinones and will be graduating from Creekview High School in Canton. She is graduating with academic honors, along with honors from the National Honor Art Society, National Thespian, and the Spanish Honor Society. In the fall, Katelyn will be attending Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island with a Presidential scholarship. She has volunteered faithfully at Oak Leaf Church since the beginning and is a much-loved teacher in the Ferris Wheel class.
As a church, let’s commit to pray for Ethan and Katelyn as they step into the next chapter of their lives, and for their parents as they send out their children into the world to do great things for Christ.
